The natural world has always attracted me to make photographs of it. Sometimes I am impressed by its beauty. Sometimes it is the intricate detail that catches my attention.

My landscape images range from grand vistas to small details, and in each case I try to make a photograph that goes beyond just recording a scene - I try to say something about my emotional reaction to the subject.

Many of my photographs are quiet and introspective. A few are grand and noisy. In every case I am keenly aware of the elements of line, shape, form, and especially texture that make up the finished print.
