  • University Press of New England to publish Colonial Meetinghouse Book:

View from the Pulpit, Sandown Meetinghouse I am very pleased to announce that I have signed an agreement with The University Press of New England to publish my first book: The Colonial Meetinghouses of New England. UPNE has an excellent record of artistic and scholarly publications, and I am thrilled to be working with them. I am just about finished with the field photography for this project (I have a few more images yet to make), and I have begun making prints for the manuscript. The target date for release of the book is in early 2010.

Limited edition prints are currently available - please click limited edition prints for more details.

My limited edition print prices will be increasing in early 2009 upon the completion of the book's manuscript.

  •
  • Other Contributors to the Book Include:

Pew Bench, Rocky Hill Meetinghouse In addition to approximately 75 of my Meetinghouse photographs, the book will include:

    • A principal essay by the noted Colonial historian Peter Benes from Boston University. Peter is the founder and Director of The Dublin Seminar for New England Folklife, and is one of the best living authorities on the Colonial history of New England.
    • Brent Glass, Director of the National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian will be writing an Introduction, and
    • Willie Williams, curator of photography and chair of the fine arts department at Haverford College, will write a short afterword about my work and its context in the world of photographic art.

  • Colonial Meetinghouses Traveling Exhibition:

Window, Pew, and Kneelers, Trinity Church, Brooklyn Connecticut As a result of attending FotoFest in Houston last March, I have tentatively booked three venues for the traveling exhibition starting in 2010. These locations include:

I am particularly pleased that two of these locations are outside of New England, because I believe the history and beauty of New England's Colonial Meetinghouses is something to be shared with all Americans.

If you are interested in hosting this exhibition, please contact me.

  • Speaking Engagements:

Interior, Old South Meetinghouse, Boston, Massachusetts I currently have two speaking engagements booked for the month of September. These are:

    • September 25, 2008, 6 to 8 PM - Old South Meetinghouse, 310 Washington Street, Boston, Massachusetts (where the Boston Tea Party began!). A light reception will follow.

Prior to the release of the Meetinghouse book, I am accepting only a limited number of invitations to speak. Please contact me if you are interested.

  • Museum of Fine Arts, Houston:

Interior, Sandown Meetinghouse Also as a result of attending FotoFest in Houston last March, I have been invited to show my photograph, Interior, Sandown Meetinghouse at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston from September 15th through early January, 2009. Not only am I honored to be shown at this prestigious institution, but the exhibit is MFAH's annual Photo Forum in which photographers' work is considered for acquisition.

  • Center for Fine Art Photography:

NH Arts Council Logo I have been accepted into the 2008 International Exhibition of Fine Art Photography, hosted by the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, Colorado. Juried by Hossein Farmani, founder of the Lucie Awards, my image Spiral Stairs, Fort Point Lighthouse was one of 50 images selected from 1619 submissions. • New Hampshire State Council on the Arts:

NH Arts Council Logo I am pleased to be accepted into two programs sponsored by the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. These are:

    • For the second year in a row, I have received a modest Artist Entrepreneurial Grant to help support my marketing and publicity activities, and
    • I have been accepted into the 2008 Percent for Art program, in which my work will be considered for permanent acquisition as part of several state-funded construction projects. New Hampshire state law requires that 1/2 of one percent of construction costs for state buildings be set aside for art acquisition, and I am excited about the possibility that my work might be included.
