Juror for Show at ArtSpace@16:
I am honored to be invited to jury the show Proof in B&W at ArtSpace@16 in Malden, MA in October.
This will be an all-Black & White show of traditional (non-digital) photographs.
ArtSpace@16 has a well-earned reputation in the Boston area for hosting cutting-edge exhibits
of all forms of artistic media, and I am delighted to be a part of this show.
For those of you in the area, drop off for the show will be Saturday, October 14th from 9 to 5
(work shipped to the gallery should arrive by October 6th).
I will be giving a gallery talk at the show's opening reception, which will be from 2 to 5 PM on Saturday, October 28th.
The show will run from October 28 through November 18, 2006.

Giving Back to the Community:
I donated my photograph,
Eternity,
to the AIDS Response - Seacoast annual auction in Portsmouth, NH.
I am particularly fond of this image, and it seemed appropriate
to use it to help fight this terrible disease.

New England School of Photography Show:
In my previous newsletter I mentioned that I was planning a major solo show this fall at the
New England School of Photography
galley on Kenmore Square in Boston.
I was really excited about this exhibit because it would be a large (42 piece)
solo show in the heart of one of Boston's academic and cultural centers,
not to mention directly across the street from the Red Sox' Fenway Park.
Sadly, the school lost its lease on their gallery space (and the Sox are in a slump),
so this show is being postponed for now. Stay tuned...

Current Artistic Endeavors:
It's been a great summer for photography here in New England,
and I've been adding a lot of new work to my "to be printed" list.
In particular, I've "focused" on my series of photographs in and around
Colonial Meeting Houses. I have visited just about all of the artistically interesting
ones in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and I'm planning a trip to coastal
Maine this fall.
To see more about this project, please visit:
Colonial Meeting Houses
(it's a fairly large file probably not suitable for a dial-up link).
Also, another trip to the
Mount Washington Observatory
is planned for early December.
