Holy and gracious God,
We call you into our midst as the Search Committee begins the earnest work that you have called them to do.
We ask that your Holy Presence will guide them, inspire them, surprise them, shaping the direction of the Search Process and leading them into the excitement and adventure of discerning new leadership for our parish.
Grant them the mindfulness and intentionality needed for this work, enabling them to set aside their own concerns and agendas and opening them to the promise of joyful possibilities.
We ask that you remove any obstacles that may stand in their way of careful discernment.
Set their hearts on fire with your LOVE and create in them such strength of FAITH and SPIRIT that they may truly listen to and understand one another, moving forward into those decisions that will keep us all on the path you are laying out for us.
Keep us all ever mindful that your Holy Spirit is in charge and we have only to turn our wills to the Spirit’s direction.
We thank you, Lord, for bringing us to this holy place and time, so rich with the blessings of a faithful and loving community, which has entrusted these members to lead them on. Strengthen and embolden them to meet that trust in all that they do on behalf of our parish. We pray all this in the name of Jesus.
